Toronto Wolfpack given Super League all clear if they beat Featherstone

Toronto Wolfpack will be free to play in Super League next season should they conquer against Featherstone in the Million Pound Game of Saturday, the RFL has confirmed.
The Wolfpack ended 12 points clear and won their opening play-off to go straight through the Grand Final.
They were told that they needed to show they meet standards for Super League and Super League has received confirmation by the RFL which Toronto are able to compete, after completing due diligence.
A statement said:Betfred Super League wants to affirm its position on the potential promotion of Toronto Wolfpack or Featherstone Rovers before Saturdays Betfred Championship Grand Final.
The champions of this Million Pound Game will probably soon be subdivided to Betfred Super League, as approved by the governing body, the RFL.
Promotion is accepted by the RFL, whove confirmed that both clubs have met all of the criteria.
Featherstone had been told that they fulfill the criteria and will take part in Super League for the first time if theyre successful at the Lamport Stadium.
Although chairman and acting chief executive Bob Hunter says he was certain of a positive outcome the information will come to Toronto.
Hunter explained:I dont believe there was ever an issue. They asked all of the right questions but I dont think I was anxious that we could not tick all the boxes.
We are very enthusiastic but weve got to win the game, that is the most significant thing.
If Toronto do go up, Elstone has made it clear that they wont take the central distribution money.
That is going to be rather be split between another 11 clubs.
Meanwhile, the Hunter says that the team are expecting a crowd in excess of 10,000 for the match of Saturday and admits they might have to turn people away.
It is going to be our biggest audience, undoubtedly, and were just hoping to see how many others we might be able to match in with standing room, he said.
